Been giving it a bit of a go again today & had some fun drop in races in the fox. The good thing about this game being limited to the cars & tracksit came with is that there are always lots of full grids because the racing hasn't become too diluted.
I was in races with 27 cars which were well good fun & I've tweaked the graphics & can run nearly everything on maximum so it looks real nice, much better than rFactor does on my PC. It ran at a rock solid 60fps with 8xAA so was nice & smooth.I have to run rFactor at 2xAA.
Anyone else here own it or still play LFS ? it really is a top piece of software just doesn't have the same amount of mods/tracks available or leagues racing as rFactor.
They have added another single seater the FBMW but I still prefer the FOX.

Yeah, I got it, illegally though, so I can't enjoy the online experience of the game. Actually I just play it for fun sometimes. The AI are so easy to beat unfortunately. I can run them on the hardest level and still beat them with 2 seconds a lap... But then this game is more aimed for online playing... Physics and such are real good and the game is really fun online, I raced a couple times at my friends house and it was great!

Never owned it, sorry.

Following my reformat, the only sim I've installed is rFactor. I doubt any of my other sims (GPL, NR2003, Race07) will find their way on to my PC now...

Yes, I know, but there are only demo-servers available, I think, so there is almost no people online...

They used to be quite busy & I think the FBMW is a demo car now so worth checking out . I will go online later in the demo & check if the servers are busy.
I can't believe you have never owned it Alan I think the physics are really good & for online jump in races it is far easier to find decent races than rFactor as the servers are less diluted.
Not having real life tracks probably spoils it for some people but the ones they have look very nice.

Ok, I'll check when I come home from work if there is anyone online.

I too like the simpliness of just jumping in on a server. It's fast, very short loading times, and easy!

Downloaded the new version of LFS (patch Z I think) and boy what an improvement! I think I had version Q or X before and what a difference it was. Much better graphics and effects. The interiors are looking great and the new engine sounds are also good. But what I like the most is that they have made the AI much quicker and they are really challenging now on Pro. I tried race online but it wouldn't let me in to the lobby. It said I had to login with my LFS member details, so I guess you can't race on any demo-servers no more... But anyway this version has improved the game big time and it was really fun to race against the AI!

I think you can race on the demo servers but you have to register Erik.
Did you get to race the FBMW single seater in the Demo ?
I have had some great races in the FOX last few nights at Aston Club.

I'm not sure, I only saw the XF and XR (I think, the slowest cars, except the UF1000)... but maybe I missed the FBMW...
