Just been messing about tonight in this game & I really like it, I can see why a lot of people still prefer it to Race07/GTR EVO. Graphics are still really good add ons work well lots of tracks & mods. The in game cars handle really well even I like driving them & I hate tin tops in rFactor. Variable weather /day/night racing.

Anyone else have the game ? Jim did you race it before Race 07 ? I think I prefer it to GTR Evo as a package.

Yes Neil, I have GTR2, and ran it for some time in a league. Very nice, but was overlooked when Evo came out. I have EVO more for the WTCC cars, which I love, but prefer GTR2 for GT cars, although I havent driven them for sometime. may have to try them again sometime. :-)

Have you seen the GTR2 NGT league running Tues nights soon ? Saying that there are loads of GTR2 leagues on R2Play probably still more than Evo.

Neil, you put me in the mood for a GTR2 race, so I've joined you in the GT4 Elise race tonight. looking forward to it.

yes my names down but I am on the waiting list I bet you have bumped me further down ! Did some practice last nite & fastest was a 1.12.6. Really good fun to drive these & I hope I get in as I need to get a sportscar ranking of 2.0 to get into the tues night chapter GTR2 events.

No don't be daft Jim you have the proper membership so use it. It's my fault for being too tight & only being a basic member !
I am also registered for a spec ford rfactor sportscar race tonight anyway so if I don't make it then I have another one to do. I don't really like the Spec Ford car but just doing the race so I can get that 2.0 sportscar rating.

Well I quite enjoyed my first online GTR2 race. Qualified at the back then ended up 17th I think out of 25.
Was as high as 13th early on after there were a lot of off's ahead. Had 1 small off, then 1 where I had to wait for the entire field to pass me. After that drove quite well with times into the 1.12's was catching a group ahead but had to let a couple thru to lap me overall a fun introduction tho.

I remember when GTR2 came out, how much more grip it had than GTR1. Heaven knows how I managed GTR1, as GTR2 seems now to have little grip compared to Race07! I did enjoy the race, and will probably run this seeries in the coming season.

This was just a pickup race for me Neil - I would've been more than happy to give up my place to allow you to race.

Thanks Jim luckily I got in & now have a sportscar rank of 3.005 especially as the Spec racer race has just been cancelled after everyone kept getting booted out the game & CTD.
