It appears that Nordic have signed Simon Savage which not only gives them an impressive lineup, but 5 drivers. What happened to the 4 drivers per team rule?

My thoughts exactly. All five have raced in Trucks in the past, so they'd even break a 'four drivers per series' rule. It is possible they are gonna do an ERT and have a 1 and a 2 team as far as team standings are concerned, but just haven't announced it.

I think the rules around teams need clarified, as having to split a large team into two is silly.

Agreed, I do think clarification is needed. Personally, I think the best option would be to state that only the first four drivers from any one outfit can score points in a teams' championship. However, I don't see a problem with a team having more than four drivers, should it wish to do so. The reasons there are restrictions in real life motorsport is due to cost, but that doesn't apply online.

The current rule is that only the top two results count for the team standings. I imagine that could remain, even if a team had five drivers competing.

In thoery then, we could actually run 6 cars under one banner. It's probably easier to leave things as they are for now though.
