So, today is the day that we find out whether Glasgow will be awarded the 2014 Commonwealth Games. Will the city's sponsorship of my Trophy and CCWS cars have made the crucial difference?

The contents of the page are changing rapidly at the moment, so I wouldn't be surprised if some of Alex Salmond's comments weren't there when you follow the link. ![]() _______________ ![]() |

Scotland's First Minister Alex Salmond said: "We will make these games the greatest sporting event our country has ever seen." He added: "I would like to thank Alan Strang and Team Ecosse for donating space on their cars for our logo. Without doubt, their generous support gave our campaign the credibility it needed. Without it, I would not be talking to you today with such a large smile on my face." He also advised "..that from 2014, online V8 racing will be an olympic sport using primarily Nascar 2003 as the favoured software" He also added "Scott Malcolm would be sorting out these arrangements". In a little bit of scandal, Scott & Alex both strenuously denied they had anything to do with vetoing Russia's plans to join the commonwealth from 2014 and ending any chances they had of racing online. « Last edit by deano_1007 on Fri Nov 09, 2007 4:33 pm. » |

No, there are no connections at all to 'Glasgow 2014' other than I had them as my sponsor on my recent Trophy car and on my BeCCWS car. I'm pretty sure the organising committee have never even heard of Team Ecosse...
