Will this work or will it cock everthing.
On my old C drive is my 1255 license for rFactor.
My old C drive consists of a pair of raid configured hdds of which 1 is dickie, ie it stutters and hangs.
Could I unplug my new hdd and plug in the old pair to try to retrieve the old data. Would it work? Would it cock up the working new setup when I replaced it if the old setup stays stable enough to retrieve data? Am I grasping at straws?
Help and advice please as the last thing I want to do is bugger up what I have working now 'cos Im too impatient to wait for Trymedia to eventually get back to me with new a license.

Where's your OS? If you have an OS on the old drives then in theory it should work but I'm not going to give any guarantees!

When I built my new PC I connected my old HD to the new PC and just copied the whole lot over, that works fine but I'm not trying to boot from the old HD. Could you do something like that instead?

Same OS , same everything except dodgy C drive with trymedia license on it is a raided pair, and not partitioned, and the new drive C is a single hdd. However I had to install the sata drivers off the mb disk in order for the new hdd to be recognised anyway.
